Kyle Oaks

Kyle Oaks is instrumental to the Fighting Fish coaching staff, having been named head coach in April, 2011. Oaks heads the Forest Ridge staff in addition to being Assistant Coach for the Wright State University Swim and Diving team.  He also served as an assistant coach for two seasons at his alma mater, the College of Wooster.

From 2004-08, Oaks was one of the top sprint freestylers for the Fighting Scots as well as a contributor in the 100 backstroke and on relays, regularly producing points at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. In fact, he scored the maximum 12 times as an individual during his career with his most significant contributions being a pair of all-conference showings as part of the 200 freestyle (1:26.65) and 200 medley (1:36.89) relays in 2007. Oaks also served as a tri-captain during his senior campaign.

A Franklin, Indiana, native, Oaks earned a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in philosophy from Wooster in 2008. Oaks has also completed two certifications in corrective exercise and performance enhancement with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He is presently concluding his master's in Human Movement through Andrew Taylor Still University.
