I am very concerned about the activity that is happening on Meadowsweet Drive. First of all, the stop sign at Meadowsweet and Silver Arrow means nothing to a lot of drivers because they do not stop at the stop sign. They drive on through as if the sign isn't even there. The Riverside police department could be ticketing a lot of drivers if they would take time to sit and watch.
Also, a new group of people have been recently seen playing football on the small soccer field across from the shed. And, that was fine until last night when a truck was driven through the soccer field. It looked like the people were looking for something...like maybe they had lost something in the grass. However, we (Forest Ridge residents) pay an assessment fee every year to have the Green Areas kept up. And, then stuff like this happens and there are signs clearly marked that say not to drive on the fields. I'm asking that the Riverside police be called and have them cruise through Forest Ridge and let their presence be known and I'm asking that the members of the board of Forest Ridge come and observe what is happening on the small soccer field. If nothing else, I'm hoping that as the cold weather approaches the activity on the soccer field will stop.

I would really like the rta bus to service our area again. Our route was dissolved in 28 Jan 2007. With people being more conscious of gas usage, i would think others would want to have bus service too? Any thoughts?

As a service to the Forest Ridge community, I believe it would be useful to allow space in the Murmurs newsletter or on the website for residents to post comments on their experiences with local contractors who are working in the area. As the community has matured many households such as mine have needed work done in their homes and have utilized services of providers who have signs posted on lawns advertising home repair and/or minor construction services. In the recent past I have used several of the advertised services with very mixed results. Some work was done very well, and some left much to be desired. If a forum existed in the community paper for residents to provide “objective” but not libelous commentary on services received from such contractors, it possibly would have helped me make better choices for the work that I needed completed. Also, if the word got out to the contractors that the quality of their work was being shared within the community, it would be an inducement to them to perform at their best at all times.

We are members of Quail Hollow and are also interested in paying for a summer membership to your pool. We have truly enjoyed participating in the swimming lessons during past years and would like to provide our children with the opportunity to practice swimming through the summer.

What can we do about the vandalism at the pool? Hopefully, whoever is doing this will get found out and can be prosecuted.

Someone from Quail Hollow asked if they could pay to come to the pool without being a guest of an FRA member. Who is eligible for a daily guest pass?
